Hula & Storytelling – Performance

About Rani Wangsawidjaya

Rani Wangsawidjaya is a descendant of Tionghoa Indonesian parents. They immigrated to the unceded lands of Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh nations in 1991 and grew up in the Collingwood neighbourhood. She has been a registered dietitian for the past 15 years, predominantly working in community settings, home health, and public health. Rani connected with hula in her adolescence and it became intertwined with her life both professionally and personally. She learned that hula is not just a type of dance, but a way of being and living in this world; with love, care, trust, generosity, and respect for others and nature.

Join us in the Plaza from 630-7PM for some refreshment, then enjoy a FREE performance by the Hula & Storytelling group. Stick around after the show to chat with the dancers!
