Walking Tours with Bruce MacDonald
Bruce MacDonald, an expert in the geography and history of Vancouver, will guide participants in a 2-hour walking tour starting at Collingwood Neighbourhood House, sharing his knowledge of the local area’s history. The 11am tour is for seniors (55+) and the 1:30pm is open to the community. Space in the shuttle is limited so please register to reserve a spot.
Bio: Born in Vancouver in 1948, Bruce Macdonald grew up in West Vancouver and studied engineering at the University of British Columbia. He taught at alternative and secondary schools for several years. In order to create Vancouver: A Visual History, he had to learn state-of-the art computer graphic and cartographic programs. The project took eight years to complete.
